Our thick-cut, unsmoked back bacon has been dry-cured by made in the traditional way and comes from our own pigs that have been outdoor-reared on small, family run farms at the foot of the Malvern Hills with the highest standards of animal welfare.

Our unsmoked bacon is made from slow-growing Gloucester Old Spot pigs and is dry-cured. To ensure a delicate flavour, each piece of pork is hand-rubbed with a sea salt-based mixture before being aged for 10 days. After maturing, the meat is air dried for up to 20 days. Because the water from the pork is removed during this procedure, your bacon will cook more evenly and shrink less while cooking, resulting in fewer "white flecks" in the pan.
